Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage book review

Meet Hanna.

She’s the sweet-but-silent angel in the adoring eyes of her Daddy. He’s the only person who understands her, and all Hanna wants is to live happily ever after with him. But Mommy stands in her way, and she’ll try any trick she can think of to get rid of her. Ideally for good.

Meet Suzette.

She loves her daughter, really, but after years of expulsions and strained home schooling, her precarious health and sanity are weakening day by day. As Hanna’s tricks become increasingly sophisticated, and Suzette’s husband remains blind to the failing family dynamics, Suzette starts to fear that there’s something seriously wrong, and that maybe home isn’t the best place for their baby girl after all.

I really loved this book! It was well written and a great psychological mind bender. The plot fascinated me all the way through. I could not put it down. I found myself white knuckled, gripping my kindle as I swiped through each page, eager to know what would happen. The story is told in alternating perspectives between the mother and the daughter. You see the mothers side and see where she is living in fear of her daughter, all while trying to love her. You also see the daughter where she is jealous and acts out over the love of her father. The book wraps up nicely, but leaves room for a possibility of a book 2 (please oh please let there be a book 2). This story was flawlessly written and very unique for its genre. Was the daughter really possessed or just crazy? Did the father do something to the daughter or not? I have questions and I need answers in the form of book 2 now!  This was a one click read for me, and I hope this will not be the last book by this author as this was her debut book (i believe). This book has climbed to my top 10 list of 2018 thus far! 5 stars from me!!!!

The Maybe Boyfriend by Christina Benjamin book review

Maybe love is worth the risk . . .

Everyone wants to be Zander O’Leary, except Zander O’Leary. The youngest billionaire in Ireland is finding life is lonely at the top. Everyone wants a piece of him and Zander is finding it’s hard to trust anyone’s motives. His only real relationship is with Megan Fields, a college student he’s had a crush on before he got rich and famous. The only trouble with Megan . . . They’ve never met in real life.

Megan Fields has stars in her eyes and dreams in her heart. As a Boston University film student, it’s Megan’s job to let her imagination carry her away. But she never could have imagined getting the chance to go to Ireland for a semester abroad with her dream guy. But that’s exactly what happens when Zander’s company offers her a film scholarship.

Megan’s hopes are set high as she flies to Ireland, determined to get the guy. And Zander hopes bringing Megan to Ireland will be the change he needs. But things go from bad to worse as Zander realizes maybe he’s not ready for as much of a commitment as Megan is looking for. Rather than facing the facts, Zander does what he does best . . . he runs. No one knows the real reason the handsome tech genius won’t let anyone in, but Megan isn’t willing to let him off the hook so easily. When their Irish Adventure goes awry, things get dangerously close to revealing Zander’s dark past. Can Megan push past the walls he’s putting up? Or will she decide that maybe, maybe’s not enough?

Sing me a song of a lass that is gone,
Say, could that lass be I?

ERMAHGAWDDDD!!!!! This is my new favorite book by Christina Benjamin. Be still my heart! This book is set in Ireland and I cant get enough!!! This book is so beautifully written and my heart is imploding from all the swoon worthy moments with the beautiful and charming Zander O’ Leary. Every scene I about reread twice just to take it all in again. This book I read from the moment it arrived in my mailbox and I did not put it down till the last page. All girls definitely need a Zander in their life. While he is stubborn, he is also sweet and charming. Megan, while a bit nutty is also wonderfully written as she stands strong and is absolutely hilarious to read as a character. The scenes and descriptions of Ireland was breath taking and I now have even more reason to want to go and visit. Christina’s writing is perfect and my heart is running over from this book. Words can not describe how wonderful a writer she is and great she is at capturing her readers. This book deserves like a million stars! A definite recommendation from me! Seriously go get it…now!

The Stand-In Boyfriend by Christina Benjamin book review

Sometimes the person you’re meant to be with is standing right in front of you.

Parker Reed has been in love with Beth Bennett since he was four years old. She grew up next door to him, holding his hand and now his heart. The problem is, Beth has no idea Parker is in love with her. He’s stuck in the friend zone, forced to stand by while Beth dates a parade of losers. But with their senior year of high school winding down, Parker finds himself wondering how much longer he can hide his feelings for Beth.

Beth Bennett’s life is perfect. She’s convinced she has it all—the world’s best friend and the world’s best boyfriend. Now if only she could get the two to get along. With her spring break trip to Aspen just around the corner, Beth feels the pressure to spend time with both the guys in her life. But as usual, her older sister throws a wrench into Beth’s plans by hijacking her perfect spring break with a shotgun wedding. As Beth scrambles to balance being a girlfriend, best friend and sister, her perfectly planned life spirals out of control. As always Parker is there to catch her. And when Beth’s boyfriend decides he’d rather go skiing than be her wedding date, Parker steps in to take his place. He decides the wedding is his big chance to tell Beth how he feels. What does he have to lose . . . besides the girl of his dreams? Who will Beth choose? Her boyfriend, or the boy who’s never let her down?

I’ve never really been a fan of PB&J, rather I’ve always like PB (read the book for the reference). This super cute book will make you positively swoon over Parker. Parker is so sincere and caring over Beth. Beth I love her but was so frustrated with her over her being oblivious to what was in front of her. Her so called best friend I wanted to slap as she was never really a friend, and don’t even get me started on Jared…..(asshat). I did really love this book overall, so many love/hate characters and swoon worthy moments. It was a fun, fast paced read and I could not put it down. Christina Benjamin is really amazing and talented writer and each book gets better and better. The plots are wonderful and original and the writing will keep you glued to ever page with its flawlessness. I definitely recommend her boyfriend series! 5 stars from me for this swoon worthy read.
