The Review

Jody brings a beautiful historical work to to life! Her words flow with ease as you are immersed in a beautifully written setting. The romance in this book is so beautiful. With endearing characters and heartfelt emotion on every page I was drawn in to Jody’s work. I have never read a book by Jody before but i found myself finishing this book and looking for more books by her. The character development in this book is so heart warming. In this book we meet John a rugged sailor who is living to fulfill his fathers wishes. He starts out from being self seeking to finally seeking God and maturing into a wonderful man. There is also Polly,  a beautiful woman with an even more beautiful voice. She is so forgiving and loving, that you can’t help but fall for her as a character. This book while being fiction is beautifully told and brilliantly researched. Jody brings fourth a compelling story that can only be told by her beautiful words. Most women are overshadowed in books by the male lead, but in this book, Jody shines light all over Polly. This was a beautiful read and I loved every page of it!. Thank you blogging for books for sending me this book in exchange for my honest review. 5 stars from me.
