The Review

This book is a mythological world in a modern setting. I absolutely love books like this. All of the myths you grow up hearing become real in this book. Raye make you feel like you are in a magical world and that all the Gods and Goddesses you grew up dreaming about are tangible and real. There is some romance in this book, but I love the way it was written. Raye writes in in such a wonderful way that the romance captivates you and brings you further into her world. I really liked the fact that Hope didn’t spend the entire book gushing over some guy and how she’s nothing with out him. Hope has a romantic connection to a guy but is still a kick ass, and real down to earth kind of girl. Each character is very complex and is written very well. The characters definitely evolve through out the whole story and each one grows on you personally. You can tell Raye has definitely spent her time doing her research on all the different Gods and Goddesses. Each one was written with as much factual information as possible. She brings this history to the table and adds so much to it! I also like how the story was written in almost journalesque type of days. The timeline to it was well developed. If I could, I would give this book like a million and a half stars but unfortunately I have to max it out at 5. So 5 stars it is! Thank you Raye for sending me this book in exchange for my honest review.
